Sorority Recruitment Fall 2010

Color Me Greek: Saturday, August 21, 2010 from 6 to 8 PM in the SU Ballroom

Eta Eta has been preparing for Recruitment all year. To start the year off, Panhellenic Council is hosting an information session known as Color Me Greek.

Immediately after Color Me Greek, there will be a social event including the sororities and fraternities on the intramural fields.

Freshfusion: Friday, August 27, 2010 4 PM.

This will be an opportunity to see all of the different organizations NKU's Student Life offers.

Recruitment: Friday, September 10th-Sunday, September 12th

Kappa Delta will be participating in formal recruitment on these days. Formal recruitment is a 3-night long event of parties (meet-and-greets) in which the ladies of Kappa Delta sorority invite unaffiliated women to learn about, and potentially join, our sisterhood. We have been preparing for this weekend since January and cannot wait to meet all of you!

Letter from our VP: Membership (Recruitment)

Welcome to the Kappa Delta website! First, I'd like to encourage you to look around and get a feel for KD's beliefs, morals, and traditions. This website is a great head-start before Recruitment weekend. Second, I invite you all to join in our Sisterhood during Recruitment weekend. The ladies of KD are really looking forward to Recruitment and we hope that you're excited as well. Recruitment is a series of events which allows potential new members to learn more about the Greek system, Sorority life and our individual chapter. Throughout the weekend, you'll learn about our leadership, our academics, our philanthropies and what Kappa Delta stands for as a whole.

I encourage you all to participate in Recruitment and understand that it's ultimately a mutual-selection process between each Sorority and their potential new member. I want to Thank You for your interest in KD and let you know that we've been preparing to meet all of you for months and can't wait to soon welcome new members into Eta Eta of Kappa Delta here at NKU!

Love in AOT,
Nicole Diaz

Letter from our VP: New Member Education

Welcome to Kappa Delta. You have just started a new and exciting chapter of your life. Making the decision to join a sorority is a tough one, but as a chapter we will work hard to help make the transition a smooth one. A few things to expect will be great sisterhood, an emphasis on academics, and strengthening your leadership skills.

The Kappa Delta new member program is a six week process consisting of six stages. In the six weeks you will learn about the history of Kappa Delta and our Eta Eta chapter. You will also get the opportunity to have a Big Sister. A Big Sister is an older member in the chapter whom you chose to be your mentor and role model throughout your college years. We will also be helping with leadership in outside organizations. All of our active members are part of one or more organizations outside of Kappa Delta.

I hope this will be a wonderful and fulfilling experience for all of our new ladybugs! And we will all come together as a chapter to make it a memorable experience.

Love in AOT,
Tracy Osborne
